Our Response
We review every complete notice within 5 business days. If the claim is valid, we will remove or disable access to the material and notify the contributor who posted it (if applicable). Incomplete notices will be returned with a request for the missing information.
Counter-Notice
If you believe your content was removed in error, you may file a counter-notice containing:
- Your physical or electronic signature.
- Identification of the removed material and the URL where it appeared.
- A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed by mistake or misidentification.
- Your name, address, and phone number, plus consent to the jurisdiction of the federal court in your district.
Send counter-notices to the same address above. Per the DMCA, valid material may be restored 10–14 business days after a counter-notice is received unless the original claimant files a court action.
Repeat Infringers
We will terminate the access of contributors, commenters, or partners who are determined to be repeat infringers, in appropriate circumstances.
False Claims
Under 17 U.S.C. §512(f), any person who knowingly materially misrepresents that material is infringing may be liable for damages. Please make sure you actually own (or are authorized to enforce) the copyright before filing a notice.
